Organizer: Jeff Hashimoto I am excited to share my love of skiing with youth in the Ellensburg community. We had a great first year in 2009, and I am looking forward to more skiing in 2010. I am currently a teacher at Ellensburg High School and the coach of the Cross Country team at the high school. I have coached Cross Country Skiing for ages 7-college. I love skiing with my family and want to promote increased youth involvement in skiing. FUN IN THE SNOW!

When/Where We will meet Wednesday afternoons in a location close to Ellensburg (snow permitting). We will meet on Sundays at Cabin Creek (Exit 63). § Wednesdays: January 13^th-Feb 20^th at 3:30-4:30 § Sundays: January 10^th-February 14^th 10:00-11:30 Except: Jan 17^th and Jan 24^th § January 17^th- no practice this weekend- coaches will be in Winthrop for Supertour race. § Special Saturdays: January 23^rdKids Races- noon-2PM, February 20^th Ski Carnival at Leavenworth § We will use email to give updates on meeting places.

Ellensburg Ski Team Cross Country Skiing for Youth (ages 7-18)

2009 Ellensburg Ski Team introduction The goal of the program is to introduce youth aged 7-18 to cross country skiing and racing on prepared trails. Cross country skiing is a fun and exciting sport that is excellent for health. Our goal is to teach skiing skills and have fun. We will participate in local kids races. No experience is required. There is no charge for participation in this program. (But you will be asked to contribute to the ski treat fund.) Transportation Parents need to arrange transportation. Several parents are already driving and seats may be available. Please arrange carpools.

Equipment Participants will need to provide their own equipment. You will need skating skis, classic skis (with fishscales), boots and poles. Season rentals of skis, boots and poles are available through Mountain High Sports at a discounted price for program participants. Mountain High Sports will have a ski and boot fitting/pizza party Wednesday October 28^th from 6-7:30 PM. Ellensburg Ski Team Jackets will be available for purchase. Participants should be dressed for winter!
